Kwik Meal

Once a cook at the Russian Tea Room, Mohammed Rahman oversees the halal street food at this and two other like-named carts, Quick Delight and Kwik Gourmet. The chicken mini-roll (about $2.50) filled a hot-dog bun with grilled chicken, lettuce, and tomato, topped with that ubiquitous white sauce; lamb on pita ("in" pita, in fact; $6.50), a more substantial offering, added onion to the mix for extra savor. Both the lamb and chicken options are more filling, and much less messy, when served over rice.
