Grandaisy Bakery
The masterly menu of Sullivan Street Bakery is still on offer, but under a new name (the old name lives on, on far west 47th St.) Since the rechristening, I've sampled a slice of wild lingonberry crostata (shown; $3.50) and a square of the grape-dotted Tuscan flatbread called schiacciata d'uva ($3.25). Grandaisy's sweeter offerings are never overly sweet; you can feel downright sophisticated even while eating off waxed paper on the little bench outside.
