My first impression of Orwasher's seeded corn rye (1.20 lbs. at $2.85 per pound) was of a small, almost fussily symmetrical loaf without enough caraway seeds. Sliced, it showed itself to be thinner-crusted, softer, finer-grained, and generally more genteel than the larger, rugged version from Beldotti in Stamford. Good level of sourness, though; makes a nice sandwich.
I've never been a big fan of hot cross buns, but the Orwasher's edition ($1.50 each) is more cushiony than most. Likely available only during Lent.
