Dark-wood West Villager where you can bend an elbow for meaty brews like Captain Lawrence smoked porter (13 fl. oz. cask draft; $6). On Wednesdays at 6:00 the proprietors set out a free trayful of cheeses from nearby Murray's (on my visit: cashel blue, tete de moine, and Goot Essa Dairy cheddar); they're available throughout the week as part of a pub-grub menu that's classier than most.
