Momofuku Ssäm Bar
Spicy squid salad ($13) threaded in just enough crunchy celery to complement the tender seafood; chilis and Sichuan peppercorns double-teamed my lips.
The basic version of the burrito-like ssäm ($10) wrapped pork, onions, shiitake, edamame, and red kimchi puree in a flour pancake; it was hefty and hearty, with many distinct flavors that complemented one another well.

Good to see someone else, besides me, take a stand for the Ssam - which seems to rank right up there with foods that Chowhounders love to hate. Both times I've had it, I felt the same way; the flavors mesh and play off of each other, and that Berkshire Pork is a sure fire winner. I have yet to try their dinner menu, which, as you probably know, gets raves. That squid salad looks like it's worth the price of admission all by itself.
