No seats at Panya, just enough standing room for me and a small cup of pumpkin custard (during an autumn visit; $2.95). In fact, the custard — much like a mild pie filling — rested on a layer of flan; I would have preferred pumpkin from top to bottom.
Needing a refresher on a much warmer day (and trying to keep one hand free), I ordered the iced barley tea ($1.75). Not much to it; suppose I could have turned back immediately and asked for some lemon, but didn't bother.
I would have done better to order off the signboard, and linger a few minutes with cup and spoon. Mmm, Calpico ice…
