Restaurante Ecuatoriano Genesis
Thursday's (very substantial) special of the day ($8) started with a bowl of kingfish soup with yuca and plantains, followed by fried whiting and plantains with red onions, tomatoes, lettuce, and cilantro, all over lime-juiced white rice. Paired it with the "quaker," a smooth blend of oatmeal, OJ, and a little cinnamon.

Thanks, Ivan! The other location for Ecuatoriano Genesis, at 538 West 207th St. (near Sherman Ave.), has much more seating, though I wouldn't be surprised if weekends were crowded there, too.
