Lemon Ice King of Corona

"Is it good?" asked the family next to me when I asked for a blueberry ice (medium; $1.50). Never tried it before, I told them; I ordered blueberry because the Mets were home that evening.

Realistic flavor despite the surreal color, though the feel of semifrozen berries in my mouth was curious at best.

Crushed nuts seem more natural, and even without them, this peanut ice (small; $1.25) was suffused with flavor. Very rich, for an ice.

Another time, I was surprised by the colors of licorice and apple ices ($1.25 each, for two small cups; Lemon Ice King doesn't mix flavors). For the licorice, I imagined gray; the actual ice might have been lemon, if not for the occasional black tidbit that bled color into the surrounding white. For the apple (shown at bottom), green was so fixed in my mind that I thought my server must have heard "almond" when I took custody of a brown ice with slivers...of apples, after all. Sparkling flavor from both.

never cared for this lemon ice king of corona... anyone who has ever had
REAL and i repeat REAL
lemon ice knows it's pre-fab, artificially flavored and colored stuff....sorry
folks, it ain't that great.

Lemon is one flavor I've never tried here. Perhaps I will, but first I'd like a benchmark to measure it against. Where in New York do you go for real lemon ice?
