Every Wednesday, the church is home to a $17 all-you-can-eat Norwegian buffet; for the Christmas fair, visitors are greeted with a cup of gløgg (pronounced somewhere between "glug" and "gloog"; $1), a mulled drink typically made with wine, though this version was alcohol-free.
Navigate through the crafts-and-rummage main level — you can return later, especially to the corner lined with Scandinavian packaged foods and a lesser number of baked items — to the trim basement cafeteria. The fair-only a la carte menu offers open-faced sandwiches ($3 to $7), plus sweets and drinks. Also shown: open-faced sandwiches featuring herring and egg, salmon, and cheese; waffles awaiting a slather of strawberry jam; and that dollar cup of gløgg.
