Sal and Carmine's

Wish the oven ran hotter. A large pie ($18) sported still-crunchy fresh garlic on one half, better-than average sausage on the other. Unfortunately, the pale crust showed no signs of blackened spots; though engagingly chewy, it would have been better, crisper.

hey you happened upon my favorite pizza in ny! I share your concern about the crust, but the cheese is MAGIC. I think it is some kind of fancy imported thing. So good.
