Change is Good
I find Magnolia's cupcakes absolutely horrendous, not quite light. That stiff sugary frosting weighs you right back down to Earth.
For really good cupcakes, I prefer Sugar Sweet Sunshine in LES. Their frosting treads the very delicate ratio of butter and sugar.
