This informal restaurant serves "Oriental American and West Indian dishes" but also keeps a few cheap eats at the ready.
In addition to cassava balls and potato balls, the deep-fried snacks include whole hardboiled eggs wrapped in cassava ($1 each) — "egg balls" — that are matched with a spicy sauce.
The menu is heavy on fried rice, chow mein, and lo mein, but I like the come-on of the sign that hangs out front, shown below.
