Denino's Pizzeria & Tavern
The M.O.R. (meatballs, fresh onions, and ricotta; shown above; $15) was thinner-crusted than I'd been led to expect; even so, the crust was more pliable and chewy than crisp. Generous toppings, too; believe me, there was plenty of onion.
On a return visit one busy Sunday afternoon, the "special" pie (that is, with sausage and mushrooms; shown below; about $17) seemed to have been tossed together hurriedly. The sausage was the one good thing about it, though sometimes the fennel prickled the tip of my tongue; the underside of the crust was brushed with something, perhaps semolina or cornmeal, that gave it a dark aspect and a grainy, almost gritty feel.

So Did you like this place? I see you went to a few pizza places in SI. I did the same recently but haven't posted it on my blog. I heard great things about DeNino's but in all honesty was not overly impressed. It was definitely tasty and if I was drinking a couple of beers I'm sure it would be even better.
