One time my chocolate-chip brioche ($2.25) took the shape of an éclair, its buttery pastry stuffed with not-quite-melted chips and dotted with granules of sugar; another time, as shown above, I found it bent double, but just as delightful. Especially on the weekend, it's best to arrive before the recreational leagues let out.
The lineup varies daily. On previous occasions:, a blueberry brioche ($2.60) spilled over the top of its wrapper like a sugar-dusted chef's toque, which when doffed revealed moist pockets of berries, and a loaf of olive-rosemary sourdough ($4.75) made for a week's worth of supple sandwiches.
Silver Moon also prepares seasonal specialties for holidays of all stripes. Most recently, the bakery offered a choice of soda breads for St. Patrick's Day; the "Royal Hibernian" variety (seen in closeup, from overhead; $5) was prepared with whole wheat.

You've been hitting all my favorite places lately! Silver Moon, Thai Market... I don't love Community Food though - I liked it OK, but it's a bit overpriced and the service was snotty.
