The colors of Guyana, Trinidad, Jamaica, and the United States hang above the small bar, but whatever flag you fly, there's room enough for a crowd in the sprawling dining area.
The servers at the counter are very friendly with first-timers; eventually, we settled on this plate of curry fish on rice ($6.50). Was this kingfish? Probably. Was there a little pickled mango in the mix? I'm not sure. But backed by a well-assimilated soundtrack that included "Jack and Diane" and "Crazy for You," it warmed my mouth with a summertime glow.
