Sookk
Green curry is the most fiery member of the standard New York curry lineup. Even when ordered "extra spicy," however, this vegetarian version — including broccoli, bell pepper, carrot, bamboo, and out-of-season asparagus — registered barely a flicker. Included in my lunch special ($7), a pair of finger-sized vegetable spring rolls were drizzled with an overly sweet pineapple-carrot sauce.

Impressive!! I will be in the NY area in a couple of months and I just printed all this valuable info to put it in my suitcase. I am going to try as much of this ethnic food as I can!!

While visiting a dear friend on the upper west side in August (she is a long time concierge at some of NYC's finest hotels), she recommended Sookk's. She and I had a marvelous meal of tasty appetizers, while my son ordered and enjoyed a terrific green curry dish. Presentation was classy and simple. It was so good, that when I returned in September, I took my wife there for the most wonderful, inexpensive lunch. My friend was right. This is a jewel of a restaurant with great service, nice atmosphere, and reasonably priced.
