I'm not as big a fan of Super Tacos as many folks. Their fillings are generally decent — below, that's a taco de suadero ($2), "strip beef with pepper and onions," garnished with sliced radishes, lime juice, and hot sauce — but on previous visits the tortillas have been stiff, and this time the outer tortilla was a bit thin and ragged. On another occasion the tlacoyo (not shown; $3) resembled a stiff huarache with a scant beany layer, topped by tough beef, crema, and lettuce shreds. (Compare the more common configuration, from Tia Julia.) On winter evenings, though, I'll be glad for a few sheltered minutes with my food, out of the wind and cold. Hope that windbreak is street legal.
