In fact, that first photo was snapped several months before I stopped in with a couple of friends, and it doesn't reflect all the hard work that must take place in the kitchen (or all the good things I've heard about King 5). On a recent visit, though, we were disappointed by an unusually gooey oyster pancake with eggs ($5.25), a tepid pair of red bean cakes ($3.25), and scallion pancakes rolled with beef ($3.25).
