Maybe I would have done better with the St. Louis style ribs; this sandwich from the King's Steaks table ($3.50) tested my jaw muscles to the limit. My teeth had an easier time with a heavily loaded pulled-pork sandwich from Mo Gridder's BBQ ($7), though the rewarmed pork wasn't as tasty as I remember it from Hunt's Point. The Bronx Food and Arts Festival didn't surprise me with any food finds, but it was less commercial than most — and how many New York street fairs give you the chance to enjoy bomba?
