Cheek's Bakery

(This venue is closed.) If this were the only Cheek's cake that looked so good, I wouldn't have needed 10 minutes to decide.

Eventually I settled on the first one, all the way on the left. At another bakery, my slice of lemon buttermilk cake with coconut caramel filling ($4.50) could easily have been an over-the-top sugar high; here the filling was just insistent enough to make itself known, while the lemon flavor was round rather than puckering.

That little "bakery" sign doesn't speak up loud; why don't you just invite yourself inside?
