This keftaji sandwich (the photo shows two halves end-on; $6.50) packed in fried egg with the basic load of spiced sausage; red and green peppers, sauteed onions, and sour, pimento-stuffed olives added savor; and the slender, soft hero roll, which elsewhere might have sagged under the weight of a meatball wedge, found itself a higher calling. The narrow counter and the bustling, businesslike atmosphere don't lend themselves to companionable dining, though a tete-a-tete with a keftaji might just be company enough.
