Ever since my last visit to Cape Cod, when I missed my chance at Marion's, I've had chicken pot pie on my mind.
The crust on this Meredith's pie (20 oz.; $8) wasn't as buttery sweet, but the filling — featuring Murray's chicken as well as potatoes, carrots, peas, and pearl onions, wetted but not swamped in gravy — was very good.
Not seen in the lineup below: my pick of Meredith's homemade jams (8 oz.; $6), which walked a fine line between strawberry sweet and rhubarb tart.
