The dishes still cruising the floor at the hour fell within a narrow color palette, but my dining buddy and I managed to snag a few tasty morsels (about $3 each), including shrimp cheung fun (above) and mushroom-and-pork egg rolls, shrimp-paste-stuffed eggplant, and shrimp shumai (below), all backstopped by salt-baked squid ordered from the kitchen (at bottom; dim sum portion; $6.95). We noted, too, that we could see no other non-Asians at the tables (and there were quite a few tables). Worth a visit one weekend morning.
