At this street cart where each wurst bears a second, automotive identity, the Mercedes of grilled sausages is the bratwurst.
Riding a crusty bun itself, this pork sausage ($5) was tricked out with red cabbage, sauerkraut, onions, mustard, and, my notes insist, potatoes. Below, the Porsche (a.k.a. currywurst; $5) with cabbage, sauerkraut, and onions but sans spuds, was hosed with a less-than-assertive sauce. I also ordered a side of onion-topped potatoes ($2.50); if it were a car, you'd find it up on blocks in the tall grass out back. Very blue-collar; plenty of bulk.
