My pork chop sandwich ($5.25) — curiously, Hanco's menu never mentions "banh mi," only "Vietnamese sandwiches" — pushed the bounds of its baguette with the customary cucumber, pickled cabbage and daikon, and loads of luscious pork. Love those fatty bits, especially when my sandwich is properly spicy, as requested.

Prices are higher ($6.50 for most banh mi)at the Park Slope Hanco's. Sardine sandwich is excellent, as is tofu. They will adjust spiciness to your preference.
