Posted beside a brief menu of "Northern European comfort food," the truck's madcap creation myth inspired little faith, but behold: light-and-crusty batter on British-style cod, and flavorful skin-on Flemish frites (meeting cute, as fish and chips; $5). In late afternoon, before the truck had fully kicked into gear, very good; on some future evening, when the fry station is going full throttle and a couple of pints are in my rearview mirror, just possibly brilliant.
