To one side of Azteca is a trim, snugly stocked grocery, including a freezer case dedicated to El Sabor de Michoacan paletas ($1.25). In this particular ice pop the featured ingredient sadly had sunk to one end, and even there was swamped by the strawberry-milk base flavor. (Fortunately, I like strawberry milk.) Sold out: the flavor called chongo, literally, monkey, in reality, more like mascarpone.
To the other side is a restaurant, which I haven't tried; the owner, born in the Mexican state of Jalisco, spoke with pride of his wife's elaborate mole sauces.

Chongo = milk curd dessert
Chango = monkey
Kind of funny because "chongo" can also mean a bun, as in the hairstyle, another word for which is "moño", which sounds like "mono", which is another word for monkey.

I've been underwhelmed by Azteca each of the four or so times I've been there... apparently I'm not ordering correctly? But at any measure, their tacos are lacking. I'll have to check out the Moles next time.
