That's the default for Giovanni's superthin-sliced eggplant parmagian sandwich (hero; $6.50), though I gladly tucked in a sliver of imported provolone — sharp as usual, but "this time it came in creamy, too" — presented by the owner. The counterman's offer of extra sauce I took more matter-of-factly; it's wise not to turn down a man holding a ladle. Also shown: an Italian combo (hero; $7).
