Bakhdad is evidently the brand name and Café Touba, the style, of a West African beverage that combines ground coffee and ground black pepper (here, in an 80/20 blend; 50 g.; $1). The packet comes from Senegal, the market's owners hail from Guinea, and if you haven't traveled to either country, it's unlikely you'll ever acquire a taste for the brew.

Wow! I've looked for this before... nice find. It takes weeks to acquire this taste, and I still prefer espresso or regular coffee, but somehow a nice Café Touba would bring back some really good memories!
