Which are very good in their sinuous, salty, not-too-greasy way ($2.49). The burger ($3.64), even with lettuce, tomato, onion, "special sauce," and toasted bun, isn't the body double of its California counterpart from In-N-Out. It's fresh, fast, and photogenic, but not quite as full-flavored — though in truth, even out West I'm generally fonder of a fatter, juicier patty.

i can't figure out why everybody loves shake shack so much, except that it's in the middle of a nice park and has seating in the park. even ny burger (which used to be great, and is now just okay) tastes better (23-24 sts on park ave).
there are so many better burgers around that one can carry into the park.
