This babka ($3.50) would go wonderfully with cream cheese or butter, said the presiding lady at this Polish congregation's bake sale, or it would be good by itself, too. Even discounting the raisins, it was very rich and moist indeed. I don't have any insights into the recipe, but the rings imprinted on its surface make plain where this babka was baked — in a coffee can.
