It's too bad to hear this doesn't have a stronger hay flavor: Something about that idea really appeals to me. (Maybe I'm part horse.)

oh well. i've been making my own ice cream with fruits, veggies, and herbs from the farmer's market and hay seemed interesting to me.

We returned to New Amsterdam last weekend for their Ice Cream Sunday and brought a double-strength batch of Hay. It wound up winning "Most Creative Local Flavor" and while it was still subtle, the Hay flavor was certainly more pronounced than it's been in the past. Thanks for tasting!
