Alpha may not have been the first donut shop in Sunnyside, but nowadays it's surely the oldest.
And the raised donuts might be the densest; if I'd bellied up to the counter for a cup of coffee, this not-too-sweet toasted coconut number ($1) would have provided sturdy dunking material.

This place was amazing as recently as 4 years ago...then they stopped making their own donuts. Such a shame. Can't even stomach the crap donuts they bring in now.
