Nice picture, but how were the bialys? I ask because I recently bought bialys at 2 different bagel bakeries in Queens, and they were both horrible. They looked okay, but they tasted like crap. Before I shlep to Sheepshead Bay I want to know its worth it. How do they compare to Kossar's?

I wouldn't want to judge this joint on a single late-afternoon bialy, but perhaps the set-dressing segment of my mind was taking charge when I plunked it down on a stack of bricks. Another visit, no later than mid-morning, will be needed before I can give a fair assessment of how good the bialys can be.
