This afternoon "eel fish" hand-pulled noodles had been 86'ed, to my dismay, and the exotica immediately above them on the menu, "aromatic" noodles — as in aromatic big intestine — weren't appealing. These noodles ($5) did feature pork-filled balls of minced fish, but the bowl as a whole lacked a certain something.
