Scrambled eggs, Hyderabad style: anda bhurji ($6.99), zinged with well-chopped curry leaves, green chilis, and onion. The menu of Deccan Spice (which opened in mid-2012 at the address and with the phone number of the former Baba Hut) is not exclusively Hyderabadi. It does, however, offer paya, bagara baingan, the desserts qubani ka meetha and double ka meetha, and eight biryanis. Except for the weekend-only "country chicken" biryani, all are on the daily menu.
Also shown: a flag bearer from that afternoon's small Indo-American Parade.
