La Rural

The space that once held Argentine steakhouse Pampa, which closed earlier this year, has been rechristened La Rural after the annual agricultural livestock show in the Palermo neighborhood of Buenos Aires. The menu is still meat-intensive — from the very first appetizer, matambre, a "hunger killer" of veal stuffed with spinach, carrots, and hardboiled egg, though the typical parrillada of mixed grilled meats for two — but also offers an expanded roster of non-carnivorous options.

BYO wine or beer until La Rural secures its liquor license.
