Boylan's birch beer (11.6 ounces, 99 cents) has a brown-glass, painted retro bottle that suggests it's intended for adult palates. The strong taste of those "pure birch oils" might go well with a burger, but it's not really a drink to sip by itself.
On another occasion, Boylan's orange soda (12 fl. oz.; 99 cents) had a sunny orange color. Not too carbonated; it went down very quickly on a hot day, almost like that "orange drink" from summer camp.
