Those bowls on the center shelf of this snack-shop display were calling out to me; I'd passed up the same item in Xiamen, sold in a back alley by a vendor who used a tape-recorded loop to call out his wares. Unmolded and deposited into a waxy bag, tonight's snack proved to be a disk of glutinous rice with red beans (HK5). Perhaps better in a back alley, from a guy whose whole business is glutinous rice.
