It's a 24-hour diner; don't expect nuance. The Balboa — roast beef and melted swiss on a hard roll ($8.95) — was a contender, after it was joined by a cup of jus for dipping; the fries held their own just fine. A blueberry-and-cheese pastry ($1.95), one of five flavors baked on the premises, was flaky and well-filled.
