The mimimalist decor — witness the unframed canvases depicting woods and water — signals the back-to-basics approach of this café and wine bar. Perhaps the roll for the cornmeal-crusted softshell crab sandwich (special; $18) was a shade too soft and enveloping, and the key lime cheesecake ($8), a touch too righteously sour, but when dinner begins with a heaping plate of housemade chips, you'll realize at once that you're in good hands. Just roll with the crunches.
