Dressed with stilton and pecans, vari-colored gin-pickled beets ($7.50) shine out at this dark-hued café/lounge/bar. The small-plates menu plays second fiddle to potent potables (aperitifs, wines, beers, whiskeys, rums, tequilas, and especially cocktails) but there's no better nightcap than the petite pot au creme ($6), chocolate cooked cream topped with the bar's namesake jam.
