For an institutional cafeteria, the food is quite good, and the sunny staff helps compensate for the windowless, virtually undecorated dining area (in a blocky building — hence the nickname — that's equally free of embellishment). Southern fried chicken and "Cajun red rice" were only lightly seasoned, and the collard greens were mild-mannered, but even with a slice of pecan pie, lunch was all of nine bucks.
