Not only is it a few doors away from the Tenderloin Station of the SFPD, it's just down the hill from Leavenworth St.
Neither of which is more than local color for this Cambodian storefront, which offers a fair assortment of produce and packaged goods familiar from many other Asian markets. Near the register you'll also find an assortment of housemade Cambodian desserts like this one ($1.25): sticky rice rolled around firm banana, then grilled; some, including mine, contained a few nubbins of jackfruit, too. Prepared some time ago, my dessert was sold at room temperature, wrapped in plastic — which, come to think of it, would make it a handy snack for the cop on the beat.
