"Legendary fruits"? That's a bit much, I thought, until I had a taste for myself.
I may, or may not, have been enticed by a sample of Meyer lemon marmalade; any memory was blanked from my mind by this intensely flavored slice of lemon cake ($4). Self-effacing, by contrast, seems closer to the mark for the Frog Hollow folks themselves; though I didn't meet the man, I'm particularly fond of Farmer Al's recipe for "sink peaches."
