Blue-and-white Greek-themed coffee cups have largely given way to a hodgepodge of promotional designs, The New York Times observed in a recent article. It was my pleasure to be served from a classic cup on a recent visit to Washington Heights — though it contained a warm Dominican corn dessert ($1), not coffee.
