To be perfectly honest, on the occasion I snapped this particular photo the moon was down, but these things go in phases. That's also true of the readily available South Asian entrees behind the counter glass at Chandni ("moonlight"), where an intriguing black-lentil dish, spotted during a look-see, was absent from the rotation when I stopped in to eat. In its place: peas and potatoes, and pepper-zinged goat shoulder, over rice (with a side salad; $7).
