From this diminutive takeout shop (sister to the sit-down Cafe of Love), a sample of "harvest celebration" soup had its attractions, but I couldn't take my eyes off a half-scooped tray of mac 'n' cheddar cheese on the counter. Given the size of the pasta shells, a waggish fellow might dub this a "big mac," a name that also described the heft of a medium serving (equal to a full-packed pint; $8). It is possible, I've discovered, to polish off such a serving on the train ride to Manhattan.
