At Central Asian restaurants like Gan Eden by Jacob and nearby Taam-Tov, the most toothsome skewers are served on the bone. Here they include the consonant-challenged "chicken wig" (above; $4.50) as well as lamb rib (first photo below; $4.50).
Also shown: shurpa ($4) and lagman ($4.50) soups, the latter usually distinguished mainly by the addition of noodles, though at Gan Eden by a tomato base as well; pilav ($10); and manty (five for $8), made from scratch and so requiring a wait of some 45 minutes.
