Biggie's has been "specializing in Long Island clams on the half-shell" since 1946. Fresh-shucked, they're fine when the summer wind is fresh in your face (mind you, this sample went down easily enough), but when it's bracing outside, a half-dozen clams oreganata ($7) are a better pick-me-up.
